Mr. HUANG Shouhong, a member of the Preaching League of the Party Central Committee, Party Secretary and Director of the Research Office of the State Council, conveyed the spirit of the 20^th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) through a face-to-face discussion with faculty members and students at Puhe campus of Liaoning University on the afternoon of November 3^rd.

Mr. HUANG Shouhong explained the spirit of the 20^th National Congress of the CPC in a readily comprehensible way to teachers and students at the on-site teaching base of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. After listening to the speech, teachers and students had an enthusiastic discussion according to their knowledge and practical experiences with Mr. HUANG Shouhong. They raised  questions regarding the topics mentioned in the report of the 20^th National Congress of the CPC, such as “the great transformation over the past 10 years of the new era marks a milestone in the history of the development of the Chinese nation”, “Chinese modernization”, “talent is the primary resource”, etc. Mr. HUANG Shouhong answered questions and encouraged students studying and implementing the spirit of the 20^th National Congress of the CPC in a deep-going way. He indicated that one should look up at the starry sky and stand on solid ground. 

Mr. HUANG Shouhong, member of the Preaching League of the Party Central Committee: In saying “look up at the starry sky” means that with the guidance of General Secretary of the CPC Central Comittee Xi Jinping, we hold on to our dreams and aspirations while learn with a down-to-earth attitude. We forge ahead one step at a time to achieve good results in the end. 

Student: How to understand the concept of “high-quality development is the primary task of establishing a modern socialist country in all respects” ?

Mr. HUANG Shouhong, member of the Preaching League of the Party Central Committee: “High-quality development” is a strategy applied not only on the development of economy, but it is also required in other fields. Efforts must be carried out without distraction in pushing forward high-quality development in all aspects. 

Student: The 20^th National Congress of the CPC was held when we are at our 20s. Youth is in its prime, and struggle is at the right time. Standing at the starting point of a new journey, we should cherish youth and stay true to our heart so as to forge ahead with fortitude and resilience.  

Students expressed that the activity explained profound theories in simple language and gave targeted explanations for them to further understand the spirit of the 20^th National Congress of the CPC. 

Xue Feng, a PhD student of Liaoning University: My understanding of the spirit of the 20^thNational Congress of the CPC is further deepened through participating in today’s activity. Time and tide wait for no man, we should make the best of every minute. As one of the Chinese youth of the new era, I will integrate personal pursuit into the cause of the Party and the People. 

Lai Boxi, Secretary of the Youth League Committee: We will provide young people with various ways to better learn the spirit of the 20^th National Congress of the CPC. It will support young people to make contributions to revitalization of Liaoning Province.
