Professor Huo Chunhui, member of the CPC Committee and Vice President of Liaoning University, also attended the opening ceremony.
Yu Miaojie opened by extending a warm welcome and heartfelt gratitude to the leaders and guests in attendance and then introduced the breakthroughs made in the construction of first-class disciplines of applied economics at Liaoning University. Prof. Yu pointed out that, from the perspective of the global economy, we are in an era of globalization, with cross-border exchanges being a major trend. As such, the continuous improvement of a transnational perspective in finance has broad and interactive implications, which will inevitably promote a high-level integration and development of the financial industry internationally, thereby deepening the global exchange and cooperation of the national economy. Of course, finance as a critical field is also facing new opportunities and challenges. Against this backdrop, the 2023 Cross Country Perspectives in Finance (CCPF) Conference is not only a theoretical seminar that leads the practice of revitalizing new breakthroughs in Liaoning Province through modernization with Chinese characteristics, but is also a tangible operation that promotes the internationalization of Liaoning’s financial industry, possessing both important theoretical value and practical significance.
The conference’s main focus was on transnational financial perspectives within the aforementioned contexts, with extensive discussions being held among participating experts and scholars. Such proceedings emphasized the international finance of emerging markets and the development of small businesses within them. The conference was attended, both in person and virtually, by over 30 overseas scholars from Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, Israel, Iran, Spain, India, New Zealand, South Korea, Singapore, Italy, as well as over 40 related experts and scholars from China.
